14th European Forum on Eco-Innovation

CIVITAS Initiative

Save the date and join many members of the CIVITAS community at the 14th European Forum on Eco-Innovation, which will take place from 23-24 May 2013 in Prague.

The event's moniker "Into clean air... Delivering innovative solutions for mobility, energy and ICT in cities" has benefitted from the involvement of several CIVITAS figureheads in its programming committee, which explains why a number of the Forum's network cities including Nantes, Zagreb, Brno and Reggio Emilia are featured prominently on the agenda. The event is organised by the European Commission's Directorate General for the Environment and the Ministry of Environment of the Czech Republic. The Forum will explore how to overcome barriers in achieving cleaner air in European cities by presenting: The latest evidence on urban air quality and why it has assumed a high political priority; Examples of effective urban strategic planning; Innovative solutions harnessing change in mindsets; Innovative solutions to financing  urban infrastructure programmes; City networks solutions such as CIVITAS; and Partnerships with citizens that create a better quality of urban living. A specific session is devoted to generating innovative ideas to solve real issues facing Czech cities, while an exhibition will feature key players, including CIVITAS. Use this opportunity to make an impact at the Forum - register as a participant and as a speaker: Four participants will be invited to share their views on Clean Air Innovation using the Pecha Kucha presentation style. The Forum will be held at the Hotel Ambassador - Zlata Husa located in Vaclavske namesti 5-7, 111 24 Prague 1.
